- 1 in 6 children in this state struggle with food insecurity (Feeding America)
Ujima‘s Impact
- The Sunflower Institute: Since 2021, we have worked with 12 local teens and 11 graduated from the program. In 2023, 100% of the graduates felt more optimistic about their future after completing the program. Over 80% felt better about their mental health and support systems.
- Over 300 “pay what you can” meals have been provided to the St. Louis community since May 2019.
- Since 2020 we have cleaned up over 10,000 lbs of trash in North St. Louis City.
